Vibra Peru is an ensemble of singers, dancers and musicians from Peru, who present a vibrant spectacle of music, dance and singing, showcasing the Indigenous, African, European, and Asian influences that make up the Peruvian heritages and cultures.
Created and produced by Lima-based Jean Paul Straus and Veronica Görbitz, the innovative Vibra Peru mixes Peruvian tunes and moves with other genres like Brazilian Bossa Nova, Cuban Son, Spanish Flamenco and Rumba, and African American Jazz.
Vibra Peru will perform for FREE at the John F. Kennedy Memorial Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, DC, tomorrow Wednesday September 29, 2010 at 6:00PM, at the Millennium Stage. This program is possible in part to the sponsorship of the Embassy of Peru.
How to get there: I suggest you use Metro (blue/orange) to Foggy Bottom station, then use the free Kennedy Center shuttle service. Go there early because this concert will be packed.
Al fin reconocen estos menzos, les ha tomado 500 años, que bueno mejor tarde que nunca, eso da esperanza de que al fin nuestros hermanos de minoria Peruanos se integren de una vez por todas, ojo nosotros los estuvimos esperando por 500 años, al fin abriron los ojos.

pd. el tio soria jejeje no sabe bailar, hay que ponerle un diccionario traductor de danzas Peruanas, al menos el se salva que es Che, pero por alli vi varias caras Peruanas que no sabian como entrarle a la danza, jejeje... diccionario pa todos
El Luis Pardo, una de las cosas que he percibido en este concierto, es que efectivamente nuestro Peru esta cambiando, y los peruanos estamos redescubriendo nuestras culturas. Ahi vamos.
