Those of you who are fluent in Spanish and would like to dialogue and remind Peruvians of the bad impact of "free" trade in poor countries, and the corrupted way the US-Peru FTA was imposed to Americans and Peruvians, and the consequences of greediness of corporate America in the lives of regular folks - bailouts anyone? - please come tonight to the Peruvian Embassy in DC to discuss with two lobbyists who helped get this deal approved by the US Congress:
Alvaro Henzler is a Peruvian economist, special adviser to the Peruvian government and embassy in trade issues, and visiting professor at GWU.
Carlos Paz-Soldan is a Peruvian attorney who works for a DC lobby firm paid by the Peruvian government to get the approval of the Peru FTA.
