Ballet Folklorico Ritmos de Peru (Rhythms from Peru) is a non profit organization created by Peruvian American parents living in the Washington, DC area, who are focused on education for young people through Peruvian dances.
Ritmos de Peru teaches dances from the coastal, Andean and Amazon regions of Peru, and the classes run all year long, and open for children, youth and adults.
The school is based in Arlington, Virginia and in Rockville, Maryland and currently they have over 40 students enrolled; they are not only Peruvians but come from several ancestries, although most of them are American children of Peruvian heritage living in the DC Metro area.
